Today took place the third workshop focused on conceiving and planning awareness-raising activities on sustainable development objective no. 11 - sustainable cities and communities.
As in the previous two hosted by Bucharest City Hall alongside with our partners from Assistance and Programs for Sustainable Development Association- Agenda 21, this one was also a success.
Students ambassadors from the Virgil Madgearu Economic College, Emil Racovita National College, the Technological College Viaceslav Harnaj and the Mihai Viteazu National College have established communication bridges with the representatives of District 1 and 2 mayoralties in an attempt to find support means for awareness raising events to follow.
They first identified the features of active citizenship: common interest, involvement, communication, trust and support, receptivity, team, solidarity, collaboration, education, self-esteem.
The project ideas launched today focused primarily on tackling social marginalization and on the inclusion of young people in the decision-making process.
This last meeting marked the end of a busy week, in which the 12 schools involved in the Walk the Global Walk european project discussed directly with the representatives of the 6 districts mayoralties and of the Bucharest City Hall about the sustainable development objective no. 11.
