On the second day of the workshops dedicated to the awareness raising activities within the european Walk the Global Walk project, students from the Grigore Moisil National College, General School no. 194, the Nicolae Kretzulescu Higher School of Economics and the Viilor Economic College have learned about the qualities of a good facilitator, how to achieve effective project management and have proposed the first ideas of events on the sustainable development goal no. 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Representatives of local authorities in the administrative boards of the educational establishments, as well as the departments with sustainable development, urbanism, youth and cultural issues attributions in the Bucharest City Hall and the mayoralties of Districts 4, 5 and 6 were present.

The first ideas of awareness events are encouraging: organizing a photo exhibition on sustainable development, highlighting the area of the Văcăreşti Urban Delta, selective collection of waste and the effects of abandoned buildings on the city's inhabitants.

Students have convinced their dialogue partners in receiving the promise of support from local authorities to implement their project ideas to raise awareness on issues such as poverty reduction, quality improvement and access to living conditions, good public safety and the reduction of pollution, in an inclusive and participatory way.
